As President and Chief Operating Officer for Goodwill Business Services, Mark is responsible for establishing the overall business services strategy as well as accelerating and broadening contract growth and job advancement opportunities.
Mark's 20 years of service with the agency and his deep experience building dynamic teams has grown Goodwill San Antonio’s Business Services into the third largest contract operation within the Goodwill Industries International network. Under Mark's leadership, Goodwill San Antonio's Business Services has doubled in size over the past decade; and more importantly, has helped create jobs for more than 700 employees, 89 percent of whom have a significant disability. Mark brings nearly two decades of experience and leadership to Goodwill following a 20-year career serving in the U.S. Air Force.
As the Vice President of Business Services, William is actively involved in providing mentorship and support to Goodwill San Antonio’s current diversified business services and dedicated to seeking out new innovative lines of business to allow for the advancement opportunity and personal growth of Goodwill’s valued employees.
William has over 20 years facilities management and maintenance experience, of which over 18 years working with AbilityOne Programs.
William holds various certifications including “Registered Building Service Manager” through Building Service Contractors Association International, “Certified Environmental Service Executive” through International Executive Housekeepers Association, “ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard Certification Expert” through International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), “Six Sigma Green Belt” through American Society for Quality.
As the Director of Business Development, Melissa Joy leads Business Services' government and commercial business development to win new businesses and generate job growth. This includes proposal development, strategic planning, forecasting opportunities, and managing client relationships. Melissa Joy possesses extensive experience as a communication specialist, technical writer, and project manager.
Prior to her promotion to Director, she served as the Capture & Proposal Manager, where she established best practices for proposal development across all lines of business. Melissa Joy's high-level business development acumen comes from working in various industries, including banking, education, engineering, information technology, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations. This includes working extensively in government contracting as a proposal writer, where she secured contract awards valued between $25M -$100M.
Melissa Joy is a proud Roadrunner with a bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
As Director of Business Services, Steve is responsible for the Records Management line of business and the Medical Records Contract, Goodwill’s largest federal administrative contract valued at over $100M. Steve provides leadership, management, and administrative expertise to over 300 team members and a leadership staff of twenty-six. His unique blend of federal and corporate experience in Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Process Improvement ensures contract key performance indicators are met and exceeded. In addition, Steve has a comprehensive knowledge of pricing, negotiations, contracts, and contract modifications.
Steve joined the Goodwill team in 2004 and has worked closely with Contracting Officers, Contracting Officer Representatives, and government customers throughout his tenure.
He has been instrumental in bringing each contract to fruition and ensuring GWSA’s facilities met all contract requirements, from security to design to functionality.
